Warning Bell in the Morning
We have updated our morning entry bell to ring at 9:07 am, rather than 9:10 am. Because we only have two entry doors to the school, it can take quite a bit of time to have students enter the school and prepare themselves for the day at their coat hooks. These extra three minutes allow teachers and students more time to be ready to go and for class to begin at 9:15 am. From 9:07 am until 9:15 am, all students with their teacher can enter the school through their entry door and make their way to their classes. After 9:15 am, please access the school through the front doors, and students can check in at the office.

Dalhousie Mural
Our mural project is now complete! Every student who was at school during the mural painting time had an opportunity to paint a small portion of the mural. Our students are very proud of their work and excited to see it as they go to music class or to the gym. When you come for parent-teacher conferences, please stop by to see this incredible work. A very special thank you goes out to Maya and Yev for working with the students and completing the painting of the mural. We would also like to thank Maya and David from Bear and Unicorn Creative Company for their design and painting of the mural. Finally, we would like to thank the Parent Society for funding the cost of the mural.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Reminder
Please be aware that a hybrid booking option was made available to families. Please check if you have booked conferences online through Teams or in person with the teacher. It is critical to be on time for any conferences as time for discussion is limited, and teachers will need to move to their next conferences. The booking window will remain open until Wednesday at 4:00 pm. Please be sure to book a conference with your child's teacher for updates on their learning.

We’re in the final stretch of our Purdys fundraiser! Read-a-Thon Prize Donations
Our upcoming Read-a-Thon will have students turning pages and earning prizes along the way! We’re looking for donations such as movie tickets, gift cards, or other kid-friendly prizes. If you or your business would like to contribute, please email the Parent Society at dalhousieschoolparentsociety@gmail.com by March 23 so we can include your donation.
