Parent Society

One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. About Our Parent Society

The CBE and Dalhousie School community values the contributions of parent societies and associations. The Parent Society helps make our school stronger in a variety of ways. It’s important to understand there is a difference from parent societies & associations and school councils. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council.
