Remembrance Day Assembly
Dear Dalhousie Parents,
On Wednesday, November 8th at 10:45 a.m., we will hold our Remembrance Day assembly. This is an important event in our school calendar. We remember those who have sacrificed so much so that we can live in a free and democratic society. Our students will participate in the assembly by either contributing to the program or providing artwork that will decorate the walls. Although we would like to invite families, we do not have the space for everyone that may wish to attend, so it will be a students and staff only event.
We expect that students will remain silent during the assembly to show their understanding of the solemnity of the event.
If your child is in Guides, Scouts, Cadets, or other such organizations, they are welcome to wear their uniforms on November 8th.
We are also collecting items for the Veterans Food Bank of Alberta. The collection boxes are located in the two foyers of the school. See the list of items that are urgently needed here. Please do not bring the perishable items on the list.
Best regards,
Scott Fehr
Principal
