Buenas Tardes  Familias,

Once again, the Halloween Parade of Costumes was a great success! Students, teachers, and staff all participated in that fun Spirit Day. Thanks for everyone’s participation. Make sure to look at our school calendar for the upcoming Challenge and Spirit Days in November. Thanks to all the parents who have attended the School Council and Parent Society meetings in person or online.

We can’t believe that we are already in November, and yes the cold days have arrived!! Please remember that students have to come to school dressed warmly with their winter coats, hats, toques, mitts, and boots during the cold fall and winter days. Please review our Cold Weather Days page for more information.

Remembrance Day

We will be holding our Remembrance Day Assembly on Thursday morning, November 7.  Students who belong to Scouts, Girl Guides, Cadets, or any such organization are invited to wear their uniforms to the assembly.

All of our students are contributing to this even through artwork or participation in the program. While this assembly is an important event in our school community, this is a student and staff event only due to space constraints.

Poppies

We will have poppies available for all students to wear to the Remembrance Day assembly.  Any donations to the Poppy Fund are welcome and can be sent to school with your student between November 4-7.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found corner is already full! Please take a look at any of the items left behind. We will be donating any unclaimed items after the fall break.

Health & Wellness in School

The Calgary Board of Education invites all parents and guardians to join us in a pre-recorded and live online series focusing on child and youth well-being. These sessions will be hosted in partnership with experts from Alberta Health Services and Recovery Alberta and will explore topics such as Peer Pressure, Healthy Relationships, Mental Health for Highly Sensitive Teens, and navigating Parent-Teen relationships. Visit the following link to see the upcoming live sessions.
