Dear Dalhousie Families!

I am reaching out to kindly ask for your support in reminding your child about the importance of using the school bathrooms appropriately. Recently, we’ve noticed a few concerns that we’d like to address to help maintain a clean and respectful environment for everyone.

Please take a moment to talk with your child about the following expectations:

  • Flush after use to help keep the bathrooms clean for the next person.
  • Dispose of paper towels properly in the trash cans — paper towels should never be placed in toilets or urinals, as this can cause plumbing issues.
  • Respect school property by not writing on the walls or stalls, as this is considered vandalism and goes against our student code of conduct.
  • Use the toilets appropriately — students should never step on the toilet seats, as this can cause damage and poses a safety risk.

Unfortunately, due to biohazards and incidents of vandalism, there have been times when bathrooms had to be closed until they could be properly cleaned or repaired. Any student found not following these expectations will face consequences in line with our Student’s Code Conduct.

We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations at home.

Principal
