Queridas familias,
What a beautiful week it has been! Please take a look at your weekly updates. Many thanks to all parents for following our Hug‑and‑Go expectations during drop‑off. Your support keeps traffic flowing smoothly and helps ensure a safe, calm start to the day for everyone.
This week is also the final opportunity to register for our Spanish Course for Parents. If you are interested, please take a moment to sign up before the deadline. Please take a few minutes to complete the Intent to Return form if you haven’t had a chance yet. This information is essential for our planning for next year.
Finally, thank you to all who attended School Council and Parent Society meetings this week. Your partnership, time, and ideas make such a meaningful difference in our community.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
¡Gracias!
Sebastien Fournier
Principal
Intent to Return Form | Dalhousie School 2026-2027
Please complete this form by January 30, 2026, as your response is essential to supporting effective planning for the upcoming school year.
Registration 2026-2027
Please visit the CBE’s Registration page for information if you are new to the CBE and if you are registering for Kindergarten or Grade 1 at Dalhousie. Remember that Dalhousie School is a lottery school.
Remember that current students in K to 5 are automatically registered for next year in the next grade.
If you are in grade 6, you will be automatically designated to Senator Patrick Burns for grade 7. If you chose to go to a different school, you will need to complete a Transfer Request form. Visit the Transfer Section on the CBE’s website for more information.
Access Online Report Cards
Kindergarten to Grade 6 report cards will be available starting Feb. 24, 2026. After May 29, 2026 all Semester 1 report cards will no longer be available for viewing, downloading and/or printing.
Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information.
Spanish for Parents – Chinook Learning
Learning Spanish can be both easy and fun! This course, offered at Dalhousie School by Chinook Learning, is available in both Level 1 and Level 2 to meet parents at different stages of their language-learning journey. Designed for parents of bilingual Spanish students, the courses help parents learn or refresh their Spanish, build confidence, and expand communication skills for everyday situations.
Parents will become more comfortable interacting with their children in Spanish, connect with other bilingual families, and become more familiar with the school environment. Visit Chinook Learning Spanish Courses for more information.
