- For online help refer, to MyCBE - Creating an Account (includes instructions and a video).
The forms found in SchoolEngage include: Demographic Verification 2026-2027 and Annual Authorization 2026-1027.

Please ensure that these forms are completed by September 14, 2026.
Meet the Teacher Evening
Please join us on September 17 at 6:30 pm for our annual Meet the Teacher event. This is an opportunity to meet your homeroom teachers and build community at the school. Teachers will be hosting two sessions – one from 6:30-6:50 pm and a second from 7:00-7:20 pm. Please use MyCBE account to book a time slot for the evening.
See our Parent-Teacher Conference information for booking instructions.
Volunteers
We are happy to welcome volunteers back to school! To ensure the safety and security of CBE students and staff, all volunteers must be registered with the school each school year before participating in volunteer activities.
The Annual Volunteer Registration Form is valid for the current school year only. All volunteers, including returning volunteers, must complete a new registration form each school year before participating in volunteer activities.
See our Volunteer information for instructions.
Process
Parents and guardians can register as volunteers through the SchoolEngage tab in their MyCBE account. As part of the registration process, all volunteers must review the POPA requirements and sign to indicate their agreement with the conditions outlined in the form.
New This Year: Community members who do not have a child registered with CBE must complete their volunteer registration in person at the school where they wish to volunteer. This change allows school staff to verify that volunteers have reviewed and acknowledged their privacy obligations under Alberta's Protection of Privacy Act (POPA).
SchoolMessenger
SchoolMessenger will be the means of communication between the school and our families. There are two types of messages that you will receive over the year – General and Commercial. In order to receive all of our messages, please ensure that you subscribe to both types of messages. Please visit the following link for further information: Subscribe to Receive School Messages

School Absences
Please remember to call the attendance line to let us know of your student’s absence – 403 777 6030 ext. 1. This not only helps us as we complete daily attendance but is also a security concern in the case of emergencies. Just a gentle reminder to keep your students home if they are not feeling well.

Welcome Back BBQ – A message from the Dalhousie School Parent Council
"Our Dalhousie School Parent Council would like to apologize for the lack of food provided to vegetarian students at the BBQ. We hope that your student did not have a negative outcome related to this. From year to year, we aim to improve our initiatives, and last year had excessive amounts of vegetarian hot dogs. This year, it seems we had some vegetarians who may not have communicated dietary needs prior to. Although we had extra vegetarian hot dogs on hand, it was disappointing for our team to discover our supply was inadequate (as parents, especially). We acknowledge our mistake and want to communicate our apology to anyone who this might have happened to. We made every effort to ensure the few children who did not get a veggie dog got extras of the fresh fruit, pretzels, beverages, and chips. Thank you for your understanding, Dalhousie School Parent Council"
With gratitude,
Erick Noriega, Principal
