School Council & Parent Society Meeting

Hola Familias!

My apologies for the late Weekly Update. It was another great week at Dalhousie. A special congratulations goes to Ely, our principal for 1 hour, who won this opportunity through our 2nd Edition of the Read-a-thon. Ely embraced the role of Principal with enthusiasm, making school-wide announcements, playing her favorite songs, visiting classrooms, and even making a few executive decisions! She declared the next day a Pajama Day, added 10 extra minutes of recess for all students, and even had teachers doing jumping jacks for the last song she played. Thank you Ely for bringing so much fun and energy to our school!

Our Volunteer Appreciation Tea was a great success. We are grateful to all of the volunteers who support our school throughout the year. The event was made even more special by wonderful performances from our Grade 1 and Grade 5 students, who showcased their talents and helped us celebrate our amazing volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success!

With rain in the forecast over the next few days, please ensure students come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Please send your child with a waterproof jacket, suitable footwear (such as rain boots if possible), and any other rain gear needed to stay warm and dry.

Students go outside for recess and lunch recess whenever weather conditions permit, and being dressed for the weather helps them stay comfortable and enjoy their time outdoors.

Have a wonderful week!

Sebastien
