Queridas familias!

We held our annual Terry Fox Run yesterday. The weather was perfect, and students were excited to get out to run for a great cause. Throughout the weeks leading up to our event, many of our classes have been engaged in learning activities related to the legacy of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope. Our students are learning kindness, empathy, and compassion through these engaging activities.

So far, we have raised upwards of $7,000 towards our goal of $9,000. If you still wish to donate, you can visit the Terry Fox website at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/DalhousieSchoolCalgary We can also accept cash donations at the school until Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Thank you to all of our Dalhousie families, extended families, and friends for the amazing contributions to our Dalhousie Campaign and for supporting cancer research in Canada!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Next week, September 30, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today, our students observed Orange Shirt Day within their classes. Classes engaged in a variety of learning activities to learn about Indigenous Culture, including reading stories, discussing Canada's history of residential schools, art, and identity as part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
