Dalhousie Fiesta

Queridas Familias!

This week was filled with exciting learning opportunities and celebrations at Escuela Dalhousie. Our grade 5 students proudly participated in the 2026 ¡Qué Pasa! celebration at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium alongside 10 International Spanish Academy schools across the CBE. The performances showcased the incredible talent, dedication, and enthusiasm of our students, and Dalhousie’s performances were remarkable.

Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students also enjoyed the Little Red Reading Van experience, which promoted a love of reading through engaging literacy activities and storytelling. A tradition that we want to continue as part of our Read-a-Thon fundraiser activities.

Students were also very excited to begin using our new Gaga Ball pits this week. The pits have quickly become a popular activity during recess and lunch. And, to end the week, students had a great time participating in our classic “Anything but a Backpack Day.” The creativity displayed throughout the school was amazing. Some very original ideas!!

I hope you all have a great long weekend!
