Principal’s Message | Wrapping Up a Fantastic Year, June 2025
¡Queridas familias!
As we reach the end of another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our students, families, and staff for making it another great year at Escuela Dalhousie. We wrapped up the month of June with some truly special events that captured the spirit and energy of our school community.
One of the most exciting moments was Sports Day! The weather was perfect, and the energy from all the students was even better. From relay races and obstacle courses to ring toss, parachute games, soccer, and frisbee, to name a few, everyone had a great time. A heartfelt thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped the event run so smoothly, and to our Parent Society for providing snacks for the entire school.
On our last day, we also hosted the annual Grade 5 vs. Teachers Soccer Game. Despite the impressive skills and speed of our teachers… they couldn’t match the incredible effort, determination, and energy of the Grade 5 students. Well done, Grade 5! And of course, who could forget the Maverick Donuts treat? A sweet way to end the week and reward everyone for a year of hard work.
As we head into summer, I hope everyone takes time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends.

As the school year ends, we want to take a moment to offer a heartfelt farewell to our colleagues who will be moving on from Dalhousie next year.

I am pleased to announce and warmly welcome Jenni Saxton as our new Administrative Secretary. We are excited to have Sra. Saxton is joining our team.

Back-to-School
Although today is our last day of school, we want to let you know that during the week of August 27, 2025, you will receive a Welcome Back message from your child’s teacher. Stay tuned for more back-to-school information from both the CBE and Dalhousie School’s websites.
Summer Garden Volunteers Needed!
The Dalhousie School Council gardening team is still looking for volunteers to help water our plants over the summer. Even one day makes a big difference. Friends, grandparents, and neighbors are all welcome! Supplies will be provided, and a simple guide will be shared with all the helpers.

Gratitude
A big thank you to our Parent Society for their incredible fundraising efforts this year, and to all the families who have supported us in so many ways. The funds raised have provided valuable enrichment and learning opportunities for our students, and there’s even more to look forward to next year! Field trips and other special activities wouldn’t have been possible without your support. We truly appreciate all that you do!
