Labour Action Current Situation
At this time, the CBE is preparing for an Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) strike beginning on Monday, Oct. 6. Here is what this means for CBE families:
- All classes will be cancelled. Do not send your child to school.
- Transportation will be cancelled. Do not leave your child at a bus stop.
School Council
Our next School Council Meeting Scheduled for October 8 has been cancelled.
Picture Retake
Picture retakes scheduled for October 14 have been cancelled.
Fun lunch
Opa Fun lunch for October 29 is cancelled.
Families that have already ordered and paid for their lunch(es) will receive a credit on their Healthy Hunger account. Please note that this credit does not expire and can be used for any future Fun Lunch purchase. If you have any questions, please contact the Dalhousie School Parent Society.
Before and After School Care
Most childcare facilities located in CBE schools will continue to operate. Please contact your childcare provider for more information.
Terry Fox Run
Our Terry Fox Campaign has been a tremendous success once again this year! We are incredibly thankful for the generous support from the Dalhousie community throughout our fundraising efforts. For the third year in a row, we have exceeded our goal. This time we surpassed our $9,000 target by raising nearly $11,500.

Fees
Families may have paid fees for field trips or other school-based activities that may be cancelled. Any fees paid for services not delivered will be adjusted accordingly.
Davison Apple Pick Up
The Apple Fundraiser was a great success again this year. There are still boxes for pickup. Please pick these up at the end of the day, Friday, Oct. 3.
Child & Youth Well-Being Family & Caregiver Series
The Calgary Board of Education is offering a free online series for parents and guardians, hosted with the Recovery Alberta CES Program and local experts. The sessions will cover timely topics on child and youth well-being, providing information, resources, and services to support healthy development. Check out the upcoming live sessions.
